Chicken pieces cooked in freshly ground spicy coconut masala.SANGAMESHWARI CHICKENIngredients750 grams chicken on bone, cut into piecesSalt to taste2 tablespoons green paste1 tablespoon oil1 inch cinnamon4-5 black peppercorns1 black cardamom3-4 cloves1teaspoon stone flower1 tablespoon poppy seeds½ cup dried gratedcoconut2 tablespoons ghee1 tablespoon chopped garlic 1 medium onion, chopped1 teaspoon red chilli powder2 tablespoons lemon juice2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves½ cup coconut milkMethod1. Take chicken in bowl. Add salt and green paste, mix well and set aside.1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cinnamon, peppercorns, cardamom, cloves, stone flower and poppy seeds and sauté till fragrant. Add coconut, mix and sauté till golden.Remove from heat and cool. 2. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add onion and sauté till golden. Add marinate chicken, mix and cook for 2 minutes. 3. Add chilli powder and mix well. Add ½ cup water, mix, cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.4. Grind together the prepared spice-coconut mixture with some water to a fine paste.5. Add the prepared paste to the chicken, mix, cover and cook for 5 minutes.6. Add lemon juice and mix well. Add chopped coriander, mix and cook on low heat for 2 minutes. Add coconut milk, mix and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.7.
