Puris stuffed with a sattu mixture and fried till perfection tastes amazing when served with a bowl of chilled dahi. Try this easy combo and enjoy at home!

SATTU KI PURI

Ingredients

1 cup sattu
1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)
2 tbsps semolina
Salt to taste
2 tsps oil + for deep frying
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2-3 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tsp lemon pickle paste
1 tbsp mustard oil
Yogurt for serving

Method

1. Take whole wheat flour in a bowl. Add semolina, salt, 2 tsps oil, ½ cup water and knead to stiff dough. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
2. Take sattu in a bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, onion, coriander leaves, lemon pickle paste and mustard oil and mix well.
3. Add ¼ cup water and mix well.
4. Divide dough into 8equal portions and roll into balls. Flatten each ball and roll into thick disk. Place a portion of stuffing, gather the edges and seal properly. Flatten and roll again into a thin disk.
5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Slide the puris in hot oil and deep fry till golden brown and puffed. Drain on absorbent paper.
6. Serve hot with yogurt,
