Seafood Ball Soup | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

There is great tasting dish you can make from seafood that you usually see as street food mix this soup with your favorite noodles. It will be an amazing comfort food.

SEAFOOD BALL SOUP

Ingredients

1 cup medium prawns, shelled and deveined
150 grams fish fillet, cut into 1½ inch pieces
3 cup chicken stock
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1-2 kaffir lime leaves
1 garlic clove
1½ inch lemongrass
2 spring onion bulbs
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 stalk spring onion green

Method

1. Heat chicken stock in a non-stick pan. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and torn kaffir lime leaves.
2. Slice a garlic clove and lemongrass, add to pan and let the mixture boil.
3. Cut spring onion bulbs in quarters.
4. Grind together prawns, fish pieces, salt and 1 teaspoon lemon juice into a smooth mixture and transfer in a bowl.
5. Dip two spoons in some water, take portions of ground mixture, shape into balls and drop into the soup mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
6. Add spring onion bulb quarters and lightly mix. Chop in spring onion greens and mix. Add remaining lemon juice and mix well.
7. Serve hot.

Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes
