Shaadiwale Chole | Indian Mom's Kitchen

This Chole goes very well with Bhaturas (Video already uploaded) and Rotis. Let me show how easily you can prepare it at home.

Ingredients:

250 gms Kabuli Chana/Chickpeas
2 Potatoes
2 chopped Onions
2 chopped Tomatoes
2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
4 Tbsp Mustard Oil
1 tbsp Chana masala
1 pinch Hing
1 tbsp Tea leaves
3 Green Elaichi
2 Bay leaves
2 Green Chillies
1 tbsp Cumin
1 tbsp Red Chilli powder
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1/4 tsp Haldi
1 tsp Amchur
1 tsp Kasuri Methi
1 Black Elaichi
3 Cloves
3 Cinnamon sticks
Few Coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Method: Soak Kabuli Chana overnight. Make a Potli with Tea leaves (For colour) and whole spices. Put this Potli in the Cooker along with the Chana and Potatoes. After the first whistle, reduce flame and cook for another 15 minutes or till Chana is done. Grind Tomatoes and Green Chillies to form a paste.
Put Mustard Oil in a pan and splutter Jeera and chopped Onions and fry till brown. Add Hing, Tomato paste, Turmeric, Ginger Garlic paste, Coriander powder, Red Chilli powder and fry till Oil leaves the sides of the pan. Put in Chole masala, boiled Potatoes, and mash. Add the cooked Chole along with a little water. Cook and reduce to a thick gravy. Add Amchur, Kasuri Methi and Coriander leaves. Shaadi wale Chole is ready. Serve along with Onion rings and lime. Goes well with Bhaturas and Rotis.
