Preheat oven at 180ºC.2. Slit the vanilla pod, scrape off the beans and place in a bowl. Add eggs and whisk well. Set aside.3. Combine butter and castor sugar in a bowl of a planetary mixer. Fit the bowl and cream on medium speed, adding the egg mixture slowly.4. Add flour and salt and process again till well mixed and a dough is formed.5. Dust the worktop with some flour. Roll out the dough into ½ inch thick sheet. Place a medium size plate on it and cut out a disc.6. Make marks on the disc using a palette knife without cutting through, to form wedges. Press the edges with your thumb to give impressions. Place the disc on a baking tray and refrigerate for 1 hour. 7. Sprinkle castor sugar on the disc, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. 8. Serve.
