South Indian Coconut Chutney - साऊथ इंडियन चटणी | For Dosa, Idli | Basic Cooking | Recipe by Archana | Ruchkar Mejwani

Ingredients:

1 Cup Grated Coconut
3 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Urad Dal
2 tbsp Chana
1/2 tsp Tamarind Paste
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/4th tsp Asafoetida
2 Dry Red Chillies
15-20 Curry Leaves
3-4 Fenugreek Seeds
Salt to taste
Water

Method:

- In a small vessel heat some oil.
- Add urad dal and roast it for a minute. Keep it aside.
- In a mixer grinder add grated coconut, roasted urad dal, chana, tamarind paste & water. Grind everything to a smooth paste.
- Add little water and grind again.
- For the tadka, in a small vessel add oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida, dry red chillies, curry leaves & fenugreek seeds. Roast everything for a minute.
- Add the tadka to the chutney.
- Also add salt and mix everything well.
- Coconut Chutney is ready.
