An easy and flavourful tikki made with soya granules and Indian spices.SOYA GRANULE TIKKIIngredients2 cups soya granules, soaked for 10-15 minutes and drained1 medium onion, finely chopped1 teaspoon red chilli powder1 teaspoon coriander powder½ teaspoon cumin powder¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1-2 green chillies, finely chopped2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashedSalt to taste1 tablespoon lemon juice2-3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves + for garnishing¼ cup dried breadcrumbsOil for shallow-fryingLemon wedges as requiredMethod1. Take soya granules in a bowl. Add onion, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and green chillies and mix. Add potatoes and mix well. 2. Add salt and mix. Add lemon juice and mix. Add coriander leaves and mix. Add breadcrumbs and mix. 3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into tikkis. 4. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Place the tikkis and shallow-fry from both sides till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.5.
