Soya Parantha | Tiffin Treats by Roopa Nabar | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Delicious healthy paranthas made with freshly ground soya flour. Perfect treat for the tiffins.

SOYA PARANTHA

Ingredients

½ cup soya granules
2 cups whole wheat flour (atta) + for dusting
1 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
1 teaspoon dried pomegranate seeds (anardana), crushed
2 green chillies, finely chopped
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon ghee + for basting
4 tablespoons fresh cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves

Method

1. Grind soya granules into a powder and transfer into a bowl. Add wheat flour, carom seeds, crushed pomegranate seeds, green chillies, salt, 1 tablespoon ghee, cream, coriander leaves and ¾ cup water, mix and knead into a stiff dough. Cover with a muslin cloth and set aside for 20 minutes.
2. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out into 5 inch diameter thick paranthas dusting with flour.
3. Heat a non-stick tawa. Place a parantha on it and roast till evenly done from both the sides, basting with ghee.
4. Serve hot with your choice of pickle.
