Steamed Chicken Seekh Kabab
Ingredients:
Chicken minced (1 kg)
Onion chopped (1/2 cup)
Ginger garlic paste (1 tbsp)
Green coriander (3 tbsp)
Roasted gram flour (1/2 cup)
Cumin powder (1/2 tbsp)
Dried fenugreek (1/4 cup)
Cinnamon powder (1/4 tsp)
Red chili powder (1 tbsp)
Nutmeg powder (1/4 tsp)
chili flakes (1/2 tbsp)
Salt (to taste)
Oil (1 tbsp)
Green chilies (3)
Turmeric (1/2 tsp)
Coal (for smoke)
Foil paper (as required)
Directions:
In a pan add the gram flour and roast until the aroma comes out. Then, keep it aside.
Now in chopper add chicken mince, chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, green coriander, roasted gram flour, cumin powder, dried fenugreek, cinnamon powder, red chili flakes, nutmeg powder, chili flakes, salt, oil, green chilies and turmeric. Chop them until your mixture is fine.
Now with the help of hands, take the mixture on your hand and give it a log shape.
Now cut the foil paper in rectangle shape. Place chicken kabab on one end and roll down with the foil paper giving it a toffee shape.
Now, in a pot add water, bring it to boil. Now add the prepared foil chicken kabab. Cook it for 8-10 mins then take it off and remove the foil.
Now on a pan, add oil and heat it. Place kabab on pan on low flame and cook for about 3-4 mins until light golden in color. Then heat the coal and give it a smoke by covering it for about 30 seconds. Then remove the lid and serve hot seekh kabab.
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins
Cooking Time: 25-30 mins
Serving: 3-4
