Shrimp mixture stuffed in wonton sheets, shaped and steamed till perfection.STEAMED SHRIMP WONTONSIngredients1 cup chopped shrimps12 wonton sheets1 teaspoon chopped ginger2 teaspoons chopped spring onion greensΒΌ cup chopped water chestnutsSalt to tasteA pinch castor sugar2 teaspoons light soy sauce1 teaspoon sesame oil3-4 tablespoons cornstarchSweet chilli sauce for serving Method1. Combine shrimps, ginger, spring onion greens, water chestnuts, salt, castor sugar, soy sauce and sesame oil in a bowl and mix well. 2. Dissolve cornstarch in sufficient water to make a thick slurry.3. Place the wonton sheets on a worktop. Put spoonful of prepared shrimp mixture onto each, apply slurry on the edges, bring over one side and press to make a triangle. Fold further using slurry and give your choice of shape to the wontons. 4. Steam the wontons in a Chinese bamboo steamer for 5-7 minutes. 5. Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce.
