Sweet & sour Oat Milk & oats upma

Preparation time 10 mins
Cooking time 10 mins
Serving 2 pax

Ingredients quantity

Oats 1 cup
Water as required
Sugar 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 ½ nos
Ice cubes 6-8 nos
Salt to taste
Black Pepper ½ tsp
Chaat masala 1 tsp

oats upma

Oil 2-3 tbsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Cumin seed ½ tsp
Hing a pinch
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Green chilli chopped 1 tsp
Chana dal 1 tsp
Onion chopped 1 nos
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder a pinch
Tomato chopped 1 nos
Curry leaves 4-6 petals
Soaked oats 1 cup
Oats residue leftover residue
Oats water as required

Method :

Sweet and sour Oats milk

1. In a bowl add oats , water , allow it to soak for 30 mins .
2. Now using strainer strain the water and keep it aside .
3. In a blender , add oats , water , sugar and grind it thoroughly .
4. In a bowl using strainer , strain it , keep residue aside .
5. In a blended mixture , add lemon juice , ice cubes ,salt , black pepper , chaat masala and mix it well , keep it aside .

For oats upma

6. Heat a kadhai , add oil , allow it to heat .
7. Meanwhile strain the soaked oats and keep it aside .
8. In kadhai add mustard seed , cumin seed , hing , ginger chopped , green chilli , chana dal allow it to splutter .
9. Now add onions and sauté it for 1 min .
