A traditional Bengali Chutney is made with seasonal fruits -- mango, pineapple, you can think of. The chutney made during the weddings are often a classic combination of Aamshotto (Ripe Mango Fruit Leather) and raisins. its a relish can have as a side dish with rice.

Ingredients:

Pine apple 1 cup
Sugar 3 tb
Oil 2 tb
Mustard seeds ½ ts
Bay leaves 2 n
Red chilly flakes ½ ts
Ginger chopped 1 ts
Raisins 10n
Cumin powder (optional) 1 pinch

Directions:
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, bay leaves, red chilly flakes, chopped ginger, add pine apple, raisins, sugar, water, salt, cumin powder, cook it for 10-15 minutes. Switch off the flame and serve it.
