Tambda Rassa | तांबडा रस्सा | Khazana of Indian Recipes | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

झणझणीत ….. one word that summarises this fiery, mutton dish of Kolhapur is a dish every meat lover has definitely tried.

TAMBDA RASSA

Ingredients

1 cup brown masala paste
1 cup green masala paste
2-3 tbsps oil
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
2 tsps kanda-lasoon masala
3 cups mutton stock
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves

Method

1. Heat oil in a pan. Add the brown masala paste, green paste and mix well. Add turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, kanda-lasoon masala and mix, cook for 1-2 minutes.
2. Add 3 cups mutton stock and mix well. Cook till the mixture comes to a boil. Continue to cook for 3-4 minutes.
3. Serve hot with steamed rice.
