Tandoori Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients for Tandoori Masala:
Nutmeg powder 1 tsp
Dry ginger powder 1 tbsp
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Paprika powder 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 2 tbsp
Cinnamon stick (3 inch) 3
Black pepper corn 1 tbsp
Cloves 1 tsp
Black cardamoms 4
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Red Chili flakes 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Ingredients for Chicken Marination:
Chicken boneless chunks 2 kg
Tandoori masala 2 tbsp
Yogurt 1 cup
Ingredients for Mayo Sauce:
Mayo 1 cup
Mustard paste 1 tsp
Red chili sauce 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Honey 1 tsp
Ingredients for Tandoori Chicken Preparation:
Oil 2 tbsp
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Onions (chopped) 1 cup
Marinated chicken
Coal (for smoke)
Oil (for smoke) 1/2 tsp
Foil aluminum (for smoke)
Ingredients for Sandwich assembling:
Sandwich bread (as required)
Tandoori chicken as required
Mayo sauce as required
Cheddar cheese (shredded) as required
Black olives as required
Capsicum (chopped) as required
Butter (for brushing)
Directions for Tandoori masala preparation:
In a blender add nutmeg powder, ginger powder, garlic powder, red chili powder, paprika powder, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, black pepper corn, cloves, black cardamom, fennel seeds, red chili flakes and salt.
Blend well until it’s in the powder form and keep it aside.
Directions for Chicken marination:
Now in a bowl, add small chicken chunks, tandoori masala and yogurt. Mix well and keep it aside for 15 mins.
Directions for Mayo Sauce preparation:
Now in a bowl, add mayo, mustard paste, red chili sauce, honey, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well and your sauce is ready.
Directions for Tandoori chicken preparation:
Now in a pan, add oil. When heated up, add chopped garlic and sauté for 1 min.
Now, add the chopped onion and cook for almost 2-3 mins until translucent.
Now add marinated chicken and cook for almost 8-10 mins or until the water dries.
Place aluminum cup in the middle of the pan and put coal in it. Put oil on coal and cover with lid for 30 seconds.
Remove the lid and your tandoori chicken is ready. Set aside.
Directions for assembling:
On a board, place bread slice. Spread the prepared sauce and tandoori chicken.
Add shredded cheese, top with olives and capsicum and place the bread slice on top.
Brush butter on bread and toast it on hot pan until both sides are equal in color.
Your Cheesy Chicken Tandoori Sandwich is ready for serving.
Preparation time: 10-15 minutes
Cooking time: 25-30 minutes
