Here is an Indianised version that is just right for desi food lovers! While the recipe still retains the traditional hummus ingredients like chick peas, garlic, olive oil, curds and herbs, we have spiked it up further using tongue-tickling Tandoori Masala Powder. This gives the hummus a unique flavour. Serve this delicious Tandoori Hummus with pita bread. You can try other desi dips like the Achar Dip and the Thecha Hummus .Preparation Time: 20 minutes. Cooking Time: NIL. Makes 1 cup. 2 tsp tandoori masala1 cup soaked and boiled kabuli chana (white chick peas)3 tbsp olive oil1 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste1 tbsp lemon juice3 tbsp fresh curds (dahi)salt to tasteFor The Garnish2 tsp olive oilchilli powder to sprinkle1 tsp finely chopped parsleyFor Servingpita bread1. Combine the kabuli chana, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, curds, tandoori masala powder, 2 tbsp of water and salt, in a mixer and blend till smooth.2. Spoon the mixture into a serving plate and pour olive oil and sprinkle chili powder and parsley over it.3. Refrigerate till use and serve with pita bread.
