Thailand has some very famous drinks including Thai iced tea, which is known as cha yen () in Thai. If you come to Thailand trying the iced teas is a must! Theres a huge variety of them available in a range of colours and delicious flavours. In this video I go taste testing some of the ones I love, as well as some Ive never tried before.
You will find vendors selling Thai iced tea at pretty much every market in Thailand, youll also find iced tea in Thailand at Thai restaurants and from vendors on the streets. In addition, Thai iced tea is served at Thai restaurants around the world, so dont worry if you cant travel in Thailand, youll still be able to find it.

The Google Maps coordinates of the places that I bought drinks from in the video are:
Pu Dam Market in Krabi Town: 8.066571, 98.915198
Cha Payom (The Ovaltine Shop): 8.082881, 98.893256
Cha Payom 2 (The Red Lemon Shop): 8.085744, 98.883856
Cha Ka Cher (Iced Coffee): 8.082995, 98.865282
Ao Nang Market, Open Monday, Tuesday & Friday 4-7pm): 8.041996, 98.843570

Thai ice tea is generally sweet, creamy and very refreshing. There are only a few ingredients that are needed: tea, boiling water, sweetened condensed milk, sugar and crushed ice. The tea is steeped for a few minutes. This is added to the sugar and the condensed milk is added. It is then mixed and poured over the ice. Often it is topped with more condensed milk after that. Do try the Thai iced tea when you travel in Thailand, theres nothing better on a hot day!

Subscribe to my channel for my latest vlog and for more videos on what to do in Thailand and what to eat in Thailand. I post new Thailand food and travel videos and vlogs every Wednesday about Thailand: places to see, things to do, tours, Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, street food, Thai recipes, eating Thai food, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, tourism, accommodation & Thailand travel, including Phuket, Ao Nang, Krabi and other Thailand destinations.

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.

Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!
