The Best Fresh Cornbread Recipe Ever!! (If you remember to add all the ingredients...) Glen And Friends Cooking
This is our take on an old fashioned buttermilk cornbread recipe, a jalapeno cornbread recipe, and skillet cornbread recipe - all rolled into the best cast iron cornbread recipe. As long as you remember to add all of the ingredients...

Ingredients:
1 ear fresh corn
15 mL (1Tbsp)bacondrippings
1largeegg
250 mL (1 cup) cornmilk
60 ml (cup)buttermilk
60 mL ( cup)butter, melted
375 ml (1 cups) cornmeal
125 mL ( cup) all-purpose flour
5 mL (1tsp)baking soda
5 mL (1tsp)salt
some chopped pickled jalapeos

Method:
Preheat oven to 200C (400F).
Cut the kernels from the ear of corn.
Beat together the egg, cornmilk, buttermilk, and melted butter.
Stir the baking soda and salt into the flour, then stir the flour mixture and cornmeal into the egg mixture.
Stir in the chopped pickled jalapeo, and the corn kernels.
Melt the bacon dripping in the baking pan, then pour the corn mixture into the pan.

Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the edges are beginning to brown.
