The Birthplace of PIZZA MARGHERITA in Naples

Invented in 1889 the Margherita pizza was named after the Queen when she tasted the creation made by a pizzaiolo whos pizzeria in Naples still exists to this day! Still family-owned Brandi pizzeria is the birthplace of the humble Margherita which has now become an icon of Italy and arguably one of the most eaten pizzas in the world!
