The McWhopper | HellthyJunkFood

So it's rumored that Burger King & McDonald's will come together as one on 9/21/15 to promote Peace One Day a non-profit organization to create awareness for world peace. I however think Burger King is doing this to dethrone the clown with their sadistic mind games as it wears half of a big mac on top of a whopper as a crown. That's like decapitating a warrior and wearing their head. Regardless, we can't wait for 9/21/15, so we'll show you how to make this at home.

McWhopper
750 Calories Per Burger
Prep: 10 minutes
Broil: 4 minutes
Grill: 4 minutes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Burger Stackup:
• Big Sesame Seed Bottom Bun
• 4 oz Flame Broiled Burger Patty
• 3 Pickle Chips (preferably crinkle cut)
• Ketchup
• White Onion Ring Slices
• Tomato Slices
• Small Sesame Seed Bottom Bun
• Special Sauce
• Leafy Lettuce
• 1 Kraft American Cheese Slice
• 1.6 oz Burger Patty
• 3 Pickle Chips
• Dehydrated Minced Onions
• Small Sesame Seed Top Bun

Special Sauce Ingredients:
• 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
• 1/4 Cup Miracle Whip
• 2 Tbsp Light Sweet and Spicy French Salad Dressing
• 1 Tbsp Dill Pickle Relish
• 1/2 Tbsp Sweet Relish
• 1 Tsp Sugar
• 1 Tsp Onion Powder
• 1 Tsp White Vinegar
• 1 Tsp Ketchup

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Directions:

1.) Slice your tomatoes, onions, pickles, etc. It helps to have a mandoline slicer to get those nice consistent manufactured slices, ideal for a nice picture.

2.) Special sauce ingredients listed above. If you choose not to go to those efforts, simply use 1,000 dressing and some ketchup.

3.) To get onions to taste like McDonald's, you need to purchase dehydrated minced onions usually found in the baking isle by the spices. Basically you soak them in water to re-hydrate them and that's that.

4.) For the Whopper, I seasoned the meat with seasoned salt and seasoned meat tenderizer. I found that these flavors give it an unnatural fast food taste. I preheated a pan with grill marks and set the oven to broil. One the pan is hot, broil the burger for 2 minutes per side. If you want a flame, then you're probably better off doing it outside.

5.) For the McDonald's almost all beef patty, I seasoned it the same as the whopper, but grilled it on the stove top. The burger should be very thin, so to prevent it from curling up in the pan I would recommend puncturing a few holes in the center of the meat.

6.) Once your burgers are cooked and your buns are toasted the rest is assembly. The order in which you will build this is listed in the ingredients, so just read that. Bye now.
