Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu, the Sri Natarajar temple's annual Festival, is celebrated on this date.

Ingredients to make Thiruvathirai Kali at home:
1/2 cup of rice
2 tbsp moong dal
1 cup jaggery
1/3 cup grated coconut
11/2 tsp ghee
2-3 cardamon crushed
Dried fruits (crushed)
11/3 cup water
