Mistakes Were Made.TOMATO UP CAKEFranie Mae Smith2 c. regular flour, unsifted2 c. sugarI c. oleo3 Tbsp. cocoa1/2 c. tomato juice1 c. 7-Up2 eggs, well beaten1 tsp. vanilla1 1/2 c. miniature marsh-mallowsMix together sugar and flour.Heat cocoa, 7-Up and oleo to boiling. Pour over flour mixture, add tomato juice, eggs, soda, vanilla and marshmallows. Mix well. The marshmallows will float on top.Bake in a flat pan 1 inch deep in a preheated 350 oven for 30-35 minutes. Ice while hot.Icing:1/2 c. butter6 Losp. tomato juice3 Lbsp. cocoa1 box powdered sugar, sifted1 c. pecans, toastedMix butter, tomato juice and cocoa, heat to boiling.
