Traditional Turkish Gullac Rolls Recipe A Light Dessert Filled with Milk and Cheese

**Ingredients:**
- 18 Gullac leaves
- 5 liters of milk
- 1 kg sugar (for syrup)
- 500 grams sugar (for cheese filling)
- 2 liters of milk (for cheese)
- Unsalted cheese
- 150 grams of margarine or butter
- Lemon juice
- Vanilla powder
- Salt

**Steps:**

1. **Prepare the Syrup:**
- In a pot, combine 1 liter of milk with 1 kg of sugar.
- Mix and bring to a boil until the sugar dissolves.
- Add vanilla powder and set aside.

2. **Prepare the Cheese Filling:**
- In another pot, boil 5 liters of milk.
- Once boiled, add lemon juice and salt to curdle the milk.
- Let it sit without stirring until the milk curdles.
- Strain the curdled milk and wash with water to remove lemon and salt residues.
- Add 500 grams of sugar and melted margarine to the unsalted cheese. Mix well and set aside.

3. **Prepare the Gullac Leaves:**
- Heat the syrup to room temperature.
- Dip each Gullac leaf into the syrup until it softens.
- Place softened leaves on a tray.

4. **Assemble the Dessert:**
- Place a portion of the sweetened cheese filling onto each Gullac leaf.
- Fold the leaves and arrange neatly on another tray.
- Garnish with rose petals, walnuts, or coconut as desired.

5. **Final Preparation:**
- Pour the remaining syrup over the assembled Gullac rolls.
- Let them sit until the syrup is absorbed.
- Serve chilled and enjoy this delightful Turkish dessert!
