Turkish Crescent Rolls Chorek "Ay rei" & Turkish Coffee Time With My Neighbor

Merhaba Hello! Let me introduce you to the famous Turkish bakery good "Ay rei", Turkish crescent rolls or moon chorek as a translation from Turkish. It has two different texture, inside is filled with leftover or new cake or cookie crumbs, raisins, cocoa, nuts and more. Then it is rolled with rich yeast dough and baked. I made these to the neighbor that I met from Instagram (@emel.batu) as a gift You will also watch the story behind this beautiful coffee table at her house and how she made the Turkish coffee in the coffee machine.

Ingredients for Turkish Crescent Rolls Ay Chorek
1/2 warm milk
2 eggs (1 yolk for the egg wash)
100gr. butter or
1+1/2 tsp dry yeast
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3+1/2 cups or more all-purpose flour
For the filling:
About 2 cups leftover cocoa cake (If you have a plain cake that's fine too. We will add cocoa powder)
1 full tbsp cocoa powder
4-5 tbsp raisins
about 1/3 to 1/2 cups finely chopped roasted walnuts, roasted hazelnuts, and chocolate pieces
about 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream (don't add all at ones, we are looking for a mixture that comes together)
For the top: almond flakes
