Twisted Samosa

Ingredients for Potato Filling:
Potatoes (boiled & mashed) 2 cups
Peas (boiled) 1/2 cup
Carrot (chopped) 1/2 cup
Onion (chopped) 1 cup
Chaat masala 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Ingredients for Dough:
All-purpose flour 4 cups
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Water as required
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp

Directions for Potato Filling Preparation:
1. In a bowl add mashed and boiled potatoes, peas, carrot, onion, chaat masala, red chili powder, salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice and mix it well.
Directions for Dough Preparation:
2. In a bowl add flour, cumin seeds, oil, salt, water and knead a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 10-15 mins. Set aside.
Directions for Twisted Samosa Preparation:
3. Take the prepared dough and cut it into 4 equal parts.
4. Take one part, make a dough ball and roll it out into flat circle.
5. Now cut small round shapes from the rolled-out dough with the help of a round cutter.
6. Take one round-shaped dough, place potato filling on it and place another round-shaped dough piece on it.
7. Now twist the edges to seal the samosa.
8. Deep fry the prepared samosa for 3-4 mins over medium flame.
9. Your twisted samosa are ready. Serve and enjoy.
Preparation time: 20-25 mins
Cooking time: 25-30 mins (including veggies boiling time)
Serving: 4-5
