Ingredients:
(In the order of instructions)
1 tsp Cumin (Jeera)
1/2 tsp Pepper (Kali Mirch)
2 Cloves (Lavang)
1 inch Cinnamon (Dalchini)
Seeds of 1 Black Cardamom (Moti Elaichi)
2 tsp Ghee
3 Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
1 inch Ginger (Adarak)
Few Curry leaves (Kadi Patta)
2 Tomatoes
1 tsp Coriander (Dhania) powder
1/4 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
1/4 tsp Turmeric (Haldi) powder
1 tsp Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) powder
1 cup Urad Dal
3 cups Water
Salt to taste
1 tsp Garam masala
Few Coriander (Dhania) leaves
1/2 tsp Amchur (Dry mango powder)

For the Tempering (Tadka)
1 tbsp Ghee
1/2 tsp Cumin (Jeera)
3 dry Red Chillies (Sukha Lal Mirch)
1/2 tsp Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) powder
