Use your hands to add in the ground beef and sugar. Divide the meat into four portions and form them into round patties. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, or cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.Place the patties in a single layer in the air-fryer basket (see Cook's Note). Set the air fryer to 350 degrees F for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, for the gochujang mayonnaise: Stir together the mayonnaise, scallions, gochujang, sesame oil and sesame seeds. At the end of the cooking time, use a meat thermometer to ensure the burgers have reached an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F (well-done). To serve, place the burgers on the buns and top with the mayonnaise. Cooks NoteI tested this recipe in a GoWISE 3.7-quart air fryer and a Philips Avance Airfryer XL, which have very different price points and also differ in wattage. By and large, however, the cook times required for both were quite consistent. If your air fryer is smaller, cook the burgers in batches (do not overcrowd the air fryer). Cook the second batch 1 or 2 minutes less, since the air fryer will have already been preheated.Subscribe to our channel to fill up on the latest must-eat recipes, brilliant kitchen hacks and content from your favorite Food Network shows.
