Vanela gathiya is a famous food of gujarat, In Vanela Gathiya Main Ingredient used is Besan (Gram Flour | Chickpea Flour).

In Gujarat People eat Gathiya as Breakfast many places and Mainly in Saurashtra area of Gujarat.
It is a famous breakfast recipe in Saurashtra area, Served with Kadhi , Salad of Carrot or Papaiya , Tea etc.

Ingredients :
- Besan (Gram flour / chickpea flour)
- Ajwain (Caraway / celery)
- Kali Mirch (Black pepper) powder
- Hing (asafoetida)
- Oil
- Salt
- Cooking soda
- Water
- Oil to fry.

Preparation:
- Take 1/2 cup of water and add Salt and cooking soda and mix it and remain it till 2 minute.
- Now take Besan (Gram flour) into bowl and add Ajvaine , Mari (Black pepper).
- Now add mixture of salt and cooking soda into bowl.
- Add 3-4 tbsp oil to soften dough.
- Add some water and prepare dough for Gathiya.
- Dough is ready.
- Fry some green chilies to serve with Gathiya
- Add oil to dip fry Gathiya and hit pane.
- Apply technique as shown in video (Rub dough)to make Vanela Gathiya.
- Add Gathiya gently into heated oil and start frying gathiya.
- Fry till Crispy and golden in color.
- Vanela gathiya is ready to serve.
- Serve with Fried green chilly OR Chutney OR Sambhar (Salad).

Mostly Served with Green Chilies , Tea , Kadhi etc.
