Veg Frankie is a popular street food loved by many in India. It basically originated from Kolkata and is known by many other names too like, Kathi roll or Indian burrito or Frankie food. It is also a very delicious snack and can be made easily at home. Here is a very simple yet tasty vegetable frankie recipe for everyone who loves to some veggies in their snack.Do not forget to subscribe to the channel for new easy recipes every week.INGREDIENTS:For the aloo tikki 1 cup boiled potatoes ½ teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder½ teaspoon coriander powder½ teaspoon cumin powder ¼ teaspoon minced ginger¼ teaspoon chaat masala powder1 tbs rice flour 2 to 3 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves (dhania patta)2 tablespoon oil for frying the tikkis or as required1 cup fresh curd - whisked (yogurt or dahi)⅔ to ¾ tablespoon sugar or add as required for more sweetness½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder (bhuna jeera powder)¼ teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder¼ teaspoon chaat masala or as required2 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves (dhania patta)1 small to medium onion, thinly sliced1 medium carrot, grated METHOD:To the potatoes, add kashmiri red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, dry ginger powder or minced ginger, rice flour, chaat masala and salt. Mix everything well.Divide the mixture into small or medium shaped patties. Heat 2 tbsp oil till its medium hot in a tava or a shallow frying pan. Gently place the aloo tikkis and pan fry them.On a plate, place one roti and place two tikkis in the center of the roti.Top the tikkis with the grated carrots and sliced onions.Pour the sweet yogurt raita.Sprinkle some chaat masala on top.Bring together both the sides of the roti and secure with a toothpick.
