Learn how to make Veg Hakka Noodles, a very popular Chinese recipe by chef Kanak.

If you are looking for a twist in your regular meals, try out this popular Hakka Noodles recipe from the Chinese cuisine. The noodles are easy to cook and can be made in a jiffy.

Ingredients:

200 grams boiled noodles
salt to taste
pepper to season
1 tbsp soy sauce
3 - 4 tbsp oil
3 broken dry red chillies
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1/2 cup chopped spring onion (greens and whites separate)
1/4 cup thinly sliced carrots
1/4 cup thinly sliced capsicum
1 cup shredded cabbage
8 - 10 beans - slit lengthwise
1 tbsp red chilli sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
1/2 cup bean sprouts

Method:

- Coat the boiled noodles with salt, soy sauce and oil and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add the slit dry red chillies and stir. Let it fry completely. Then remove a few teaspoons of the red chilli oil in a small container and keep it aside for later use.
- Add the chopped garlic and saute it for a minute.
- Add the spring onion whites, carrots, cabbage, capsicum and beans and stir them on a high flame for sometime.
- Add the soy sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar, salt and pepper and mix well. Cook for about a minute.
- Add the boiled noodles along with the spring onion greens and toss well until they are well coated with all the sauces and vegetables.
- Add the bean sprouts and toss well.
- Garnish it with spring onion greens and the red chilli oil and serve hot.
