Veg Mayo Sandwich | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A simple sandwich with mayonnaise and vegetable stuffing.

VEG MAYO SANDWICH

Ingredients

8 white bread slices
1 cup fresh cream
150 ml oil
Salt to taste
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp mustard powder
1 medium yellow bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
1 medium carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium red capsicum, seeded and thinly sliced
¼ medium cabbage, thinly sliced
¼ medium red cabbage, thinly sliced
Butter to apply
2 cheese slices
Green chutney for serving
French fries for serving

Method

1. Preheat a sandwich griller.
2. To make Mayonnaise take cream in a bowl and beat it slightly. Add oil and mix well. Add salt, sugar and mustard powder and mix.
3. Add yellow bell pepper, carrot, red bell pepper, cabbage and red cabbage. Add 2 ladleful of mayo mixture and combine well.
4. Apply butter on 4 bread slices, add a spoonful of the prepared mixture on each slice and place cheese slices on 2 breads and cover on top with another slice.
5. Trim the edges of the breads in which cheese is not added. Slice into triangles.
6. Apply butter on top of sandwiches with cheese and transfer in grill toaster and grill till golden grill marks appear. Slice into triangles.
7. Transfer sandwiches in a serving plate.
8. Serve hot with green chutney and French fries.
