Makhana Halwa's Ingredients | मखाना हलवा की सामग्री
Makhana – 2 cups
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Milk – ½ cup
Sugar – ½ cup
Almonds – 1 tbsp
Cashews – 1 tbsp
Raisins – 1 tbsp
Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
Saffron Strands

Makhana Halwa's Method of Preparation | मखाना हलवा बनाने की वि​धि

- Take a broad non-stick pan, add lotus seeds and roast the Makhana on a low heat for 15 minutes or until they turn crisp.

- Remove from the flame, allow it to cool and blend it in a mixer to a coarse powder. Keep aside.

- In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of ghee and add coarsely powdered lotus seeds/ Makhana to it and mix well followed by Milk, Sugar, Dry Fruits, Cardamom Powder and Saffron strands. Mix everything together and cook it for 15 minutes on medium heat.

- Switch off the flame and transfer it to a bowl. Garnish it with dry fruits and serve it hot.
