Whisky Wings Happy Valentines Day Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A whisky based margination that doubles up as a sauce. Yummy, booze to your favourite fiery chicken preparations gives you two of your favourite things right?

WHISKY WINGS

Ingredients

1/3 cup whisky
8 chicken wings, halved
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
2-3 tbsps brown sugar
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tsps mustard paste
2 tbsps hot sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp butter
Chopped chives to sprinkle

Method

1. Take chicken wings in a bowl. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns, brown sugar, garlic, mustard paste, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, whisky and mix well. Refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add chicken wings and butter and cook for 3-4 minutes.
3. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
4. Transfer in a plate and set aside. Add the remaining marinade to the same pan and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the cooked chicken wings and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.
6. Transfer in a serving plate, sprinkle chives and serve hot.
