Why I Eat Moldy Papayas.

Scarred of that mold growing on your papaya?

Although fungus/mold does spoil the aesthetics of a piece of fruit, and there's always some inherent danger of it harming you, mold isn't always a bad thing.

Particularly when it comes to the traditional papayas imported from Mexico, the appearance of mold is a good sign that your papaya is beginning to ripen.

Eating an imported papaya with zero mold likely means that you're going to be eating a flavorless fruit.

In this video I talk more about mold and papaya ripeness.
