Why Fat Waiters Make You Fatter

Social pressure shapes us in ways that we're rarely aware of.

The research is clear that if your friends and family drink alcohol, eat unhealthfully, and don't exercise much, you're much more likely to get dragged down with them.

But the opposite is also true. If your social circle is filled with healthy eaters who like to exercise, you're much more likely to follow suit, and you'll likely marry someone of similar beliefs who wants to raise a child the same way.

So as 2016 dawns, let's take a look into just how dramatically our social circles affect us, and get some ideas for how we might take things up a notch.
