Using everything from edible glow powder to neon candy melts, Spencer & Kaitlyn brought the fantasy of Seabrook High School to life in this week's episode of "Disney's Magic Bake-Off."Catch future cake creations every Friday at 8/7c, and watch past clips on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW!Vanilla Raspberry Cake Recipe - Vanilla Cake:INGREDIENTS2 c salted butter3 ¼ c sugar6 eggs3 T vanilla3 ¼ c cake flour6 t baking powder½ t baking soda½ t salt3 ½ c milk 1 c set aside for oil mixture¾ c oilLight green food coloringINSTRUCTIONSSpray 2- 6” and 2-8” baking pans and line with parchment paperPreheat oven to 335* FCombine sifted flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, and salt in stand mixerCombine oil with 8 oz milk in separate bowl - put aside for laterIn another bowl whisk 6 eggs, 3TBS vanilla, 12oz. MilkSlowly add softened butter to the flour mixture until fully incorporatedNext, fully incorporate the oil/milk mixture into the flour/butter mixture. Beat on Medium for 2 minutesFinally, mix in egg mixture until combined.Bake at 335* F for 35 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.Raspberry Compote:INGREDIENTS4 c raspberries4 T water2 T lemon juiceINSTRUCTIONSIn a small saucepan over low heat add raspberries, water, and lemon juice. Let simmer until compote forms. Set aside and let cool.Lime Buttercream:INGREDIENTS2 c salted butter3 ¼ c powdered sugarJuice from 3 limesINSTRUCTIONSIn a clean mixing bowl add butter, powdered sugar and lime.
