Here's how to make koulouri:

Mix together
150 ml (5 oz) water
7 gr (0.25 oz) dry yeast
and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then add
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
250 gr (9 oz) flour
Mix everything to a nice dough. Cover with some olive oil and a plastic membrane and let it rise for n hour.
Oil your working surface and separate your dough into 5 equal pieces.
Roll each koulouri and make a circle
Dip each koulouri in a mixture of
