Named after his first stall at Golden Landmark in Bugis, Mr Tan has been in the business of selling Wanton Mee for more than 30 years. He shifted to Ubi Ave 1 for 31 years, before settling at Whampoa Food Centre 2 years ago. Mr Tan handmakes Ngoh Hiang and roast Char Siew with his own recipe. At only $3 a plate, the Wanton Mee contains springy egg noodles coated with thick sauce, sweet and savoury. Coupled with Ngoh Hiang sold at only $1 each, the stall is a go-to destination when you crave for something simple yet comforting.
