Make your everyday menu exciting with this fabulous sabzi prepared with raw bananas.

AJWAINI KACHCHE KELE KI SABZI

Ingredients

1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
3-4 raw bananas
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
A pinch of fenugreek seeds
1½ tbsps crushed ginger-garlic-green chilli
10-12 curry leaves
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 tsps lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves + for serving
Paranthe for serving

Method

1. Peel the raw bananas and cut them into 1 inch thick strips. Place them in a bowl of water.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add ajwain, cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds and sauté for a few seconds.
3. Add crushed ginger-garlic-green chilli and curry leaves and sauté for a minute.
4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt and sauté for few seconds
5. Drain the raw banana strips and add into the pan and mix till well combined. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes or till the raw banana is cooked completely.
6. Drizzle ¼ cup water, mix, and cover and continue to cook for 5-6 minutes more.
7. Add 2 tsps lemon juice, 1tsp sugar, 2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander and mix
8. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with paranthe.
