Mutton250 gms. Potatoes cut into fours3 large Onions6 cloves of Garlic2” Ginger2 large Tomatoes pureed1 tsp. Turmeric powder1 tbsp. Tamarind paste1 tsp. Sugar2 tbsp. OilSalt, to taste1 cup WaterCoriander leaves to garnish For Masala Paste:-1 tbsp. Poppy seeds1” Cinnamon4 Cloves15 Black peppercorns1 Black cardamom1 tsp. Cumin seeds4 dry red chillies½ cup fresh coconut, gratedMethod:-1. Grind the onions, garlic and ginger to a paste. 2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add the onion paste and fry until golden brown.3. While the onion paste is cooking get the masala paste ready. Heat 1 tsp. oil and roast all the masala paste ingredients and grind them along with the coconut and keep aside.4. Add the tomato puree to the fried onion and cook until the tomatoes change colour. 5. Add turmeric powder, salt and mutton and stir fry in the masala for about 10 minutes.6. Now add potatoes, ground coconut paste, tamarind paste, sugar, 1 cup water, salt and cook until done.7.
