Amazing thick collagen - premium red Grouper soup at hawker price

If you are hankering for a comforting, bowl of nutritious fish soup, here's a good choice, and a steal!

Nestled in Chong Boon Food Centre, Cai Ji Fried Fish Soup is where premium red Grouper, fresh Batang and fried fish soup can be found. Helmed by a humble couple, Mr Raymond Tan and his wife pampered their customers with fresh, generous yet affordable bowl.

Characterised by its stunning red hue, the Grouper fish head soup is well loaded with chunky fish head and meat, topped with tomato and yam. The translucent fish skin is thick with gelatinous collagen. Fried fish is chunky, lightly battered and deep fried to crispy golden. Fried fish roe, less commonly found in hawker stalls, is also served.

Look at the way the soup is cooked, you will know why it comes with a sweet natural taste. It is produced by laboriously simmering heaps of celery, garlics, onions and fish bones.
