After an hour or so of Googling the overwhelming consensus seemed to be Yaowarat Road in Bangkok Chinatown, so thats where I headed. From about 5pm until after midnight it transforms from a busy business area into a hub of Thai street food. As well as the main road, there are also loads of little streets and alleyways running off of it that also house dozens of restaurants and street food vendors. There is so much variety, and the food is all very good quality. The competition there is so stiff and quality so high that only the best vendors can survive there. Seafood is definitely a speciality in the area, but youll also find all sorts of other Thai street food & Thai cuisine and the prices start from about 40 - 50 THB per dish.Bangkok Chinatown is considered to be the birthplace of street food in Thailand from when the Chinese settled there around 200 years ago and it is a prime foodie destination.
