Beef tripe is what we grew up eating as kids, though I disliked the cleaning process because it took so much time, but the end result was always amazing.

This video shows you how to make South African beef tripe recipe (Matumbu /Maguru), it is one of the authentic ways of cooking beef tripe.

What you get at the end is a rich, savory, and healthy dish, which i truly enjoyed.

I truly love the fact that some vegetables are added to make the dish colorful and delightful.

You can certainly serve your tripe as it is or with some white rice or garlic bread on the side.

So, I will be listing out some of the unique ingredients that I used to make this beef tripe aka Ulusu below.



Ingredients:

:: 1 kg Cow's tripe You can mix the different parts together
:: 1 tsp cayenne pepper
:: 1 tsp curry powder
:: 1 tsp minced garlic
:: 1 tsp grated ginger
:: 1 tbsp mixed spices
:: 1 tsp salt
:: 2 small sized beef bouillon cubes
:: 1 cup of chopped onions
:: 1 green bell pepperc, chopped
:: 1 red bell pepper, chopped
:: 1 medium-sized tomatoes, diced
:: 2 tsp chopped basil
