This Bombil Batata is a traditional Maharastrian fish delicacy which showcases the rawness and vibrancy of their culture.BOMBIL BATATAIngredients 12 dried Bombay ducks (bombil), discard head and tail, cut into 3 equal pieces and soaked for 30 minutes2 large potatoes (batata), cut into small cubes2 tablespoons oil 1 medium onion, finely chopped 5-6 garlic cloves, crushed1 medium tomato, finely chopped1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves + for garnishingSalt to taste 1 tablespoon mixed masalaMethod1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion, garlic, tomato, coriander leaves, salt and potatoes, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.2. Add ΒΌ cup water, mixed masala, mix, cover and cook till potato is done. 3. Add drained Bombay duck pieces, mix, cover and cook for 15 minutes. 4. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
