Sweetlands Confectionery, opened in the 1960s, is one of the few bakeries that continues making loaves using the traditional method. In 2020, Mr Nicholas Tan took over the business after the original owners retired. Under his belt, the bakery introduced the traditional cream cakes, banana cakes and the less common Chempedek cakes.
