Simple and quick to make, these chips make an excellent snack

BREADFRUIT CHIPS

Ingredients

1 breadfruit
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste

Method

1. Trim the breadfruit, quarter it, remove the hard centre and peel them. Further cut them thinly into strips and put them into salted water.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan.
3. Drain the chips from the water and deep fry the chips till golden and crisp.
4. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle a little salt over them if you wish and serve hot.
