Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe - Ingredients:5 medium sized sweet potatoes8 tbsp salted butter1 cup granulated sugar1/4 cup brown sugar1 tsp ground cinnamon1/4 tsp ground ginger1 tbsp water1 tbsp pure vanilla extractPecan nuts, for garnishSteps:1. Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Chop to ½ inch thick slices.2. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 F.3. For the sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.4. Sprinkle in the white and brown sugar, ground cinnamon and ground ginger. Add water and mix to combine. Add in the vanilla extract.5. Once the sauce starts boiling, add the previously baked sweet potatoes.6. Cook for 15 minutes until sweet potatoes are soft and syrup has reduced and thickened. Remove from the heat.7. Carefully arrange sweet potatoes on a baking pan. Pour the remaining syrup on top and sprinkle previously chopped pecan nuts.8.
