Chana Dal Cut Vada Recipe | चना दाल कलमी वड़ा | Dal Vada Finger | Kalmi Kebab with Kriti Refined Oil

Ingredients
1 Cup Chana daal
A pinch of Hing
10 nos Black pepper
2-3 Chopped Green chilli
A handful Chopped Green Coriander
1 tsp Chilli Powder
1 tsp Jeera
Salt to taste
2 Cups Kriti Refined Oil for deep frying

Method:
Wash and soak the chana daal for atleast 8 hours or preferably overnight.

Drain the water and blend in a mixer into a coarse paste with hing and black peppercorns, do not add too much water, it needs to be a thick paste.

Add green chilies’, coriander, salt, chilli powder and jeera and mix well.

Heat Kriti Refined Oil in a kadai, once hot, take small portions of the dal mixture , shape them into small patties and fry them in hot oil for 3-4 minutes until golden.

Fry the vadas in batches so that the oil does not become too cold while frying.

Let the vadas cool a bit and then slice them and fry them again in hot oil until golden and crisp.

Remove from the oil onto an absorbent paper and serve hot as snack with tea.
