Sujan Fun Kitchen is in a festive mood with Chiku Halwa, a dessert. It's easy to make and very nutritious too. Recently tasted it in a popular restaurant and was bowled over with the taste! It tastes heavenly! So do try it out!Chiku Halwa/Chiku Keshari/Chiku SheeraIngredients:● Sooji/Rawa/Semolina - 1 cup● Chiku/Sapota - 4● Sugar - 1 cup● Milk - 3 cups● Cashewnuts, almonds, raisins - as required● Butter - 25 gm or as required● Saffron - few strands (optional)● Cardamom powder - to taste● Lemon yellow colour - a pinch (optional)Method:● Grind the Chiku/Sapota to a pulp and keep aside● Boil milk and keep it hot● In a heavy based pan, simmer the flame and add the butter and fry the choppef nuts and raisins● Now, roast the Sooji/Rawa/Semolina till flavour emanates● Add the boiling hot milk and briskly cook together● Now add the sugar and cook till everything blends well● Add the colour, saffron and Cardin powder● Keep cooking till the Halwa is non-sticky● Transfer to a bowl the Chiku Halwa● Enjoy the divine taste of the Chiku HalwaVisit my blog for the detailed recipehttps://wordpress.com/post/sujankitchen.wordpress.com/484
