CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Ingredients

⅓ cup dark chocolate chips + for topping
1 cup refined flour (maida)
⅓ cup butter
⅓ cup powdered sugar
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon milk

Method

1. Preheat oven at 180° C. Line a baking tray with butter paper.
2. Beat together butter and powdered sugar till creamy.
3. Sift together flour, baking soda and baking powder into the butter-sugar mixture and fold well.
4. Add vanilla essence and milk and beat. Add chocolate chips and mix till well combined.
5. Divide the cookie dough into equal portions, shape into small balls and flatten a little. Place them on the lined tray and top with some more chocolate chips.
6. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
7. Serve or store in air-tight containers.
