A Brief History..some 500 yrs ago..Christian community used to have a month of fasting till the 25th of Dec during which they didn't touch wine or meat or milk....that is why on the 25th of Dec they used to make a rich heavy porridge consisting of Meat Dry fruits milk honey flour butter egg etc...Some of the well to do families who had their owens..decided to bake this rich porridge removing the meat from it and thats when Christmas Plum Cake was born
